Join Hartlepool Amateur Radio Club
Joining HARC is easy — and you don’t need a licence to get involved. We’re a relaxed, welcoming group and you’re more than welcome to come visit a few times before committing to joining. Members pay a small weekly subscription and at or around the AGM every year, an annual membership fee. This pays the rent for the room we use, and allows us to buy radios, antennas and the like.
A Friendly Community
We’re a group of radio enthusiasts who enjoy chatting, learning, experimenting, and helping each other out. Whether you’re curious about radio, newly licensed, or returning to the hobby after a break, you’ll find friendly faces and plenty of support.
Why Join?
- Meet friendly local radio operators
- Get help with equipment, antennas, and licensing
- Take part in nets, field days, and social events
- Learn new skills and share your own
- Support amateur radio in Hartlepool and the wider Teesside area
Everyone Welcome
You don’t need any experience to join. Many of our members started with no radio background at all — and we’re always happy to help you learn the basics.
